Enter Test Data Dialog

You can manually enter or edit test day data through the Enter Test Data dialog. The get to this dialog, select the Tools->Enter Test Day Data menu item from the main menu.

The dialog shows a table of the test data for the selected test date. You can add or delete rows from this table.

Test Date

Select a test date from the list. If this is the first time you are entering data for a test, you will need to create a new test date by pressing the Add/Delete Test Dates button. See Test Dates Dialog.

Milking

If the test date is for recording individual milkings, select which milking you are going to enter data for. Otherwise, this entry field is disabled. (Note: You can set up the number of milkings per day in the Options Dialog.)

 

Estimate Test Data for this Milking

If you did not collect test data for all of the milkings for a test date, you can have DairyLive estimate the missing milking data by pressing this button. See Estimate Test Data Dialog.

 

Fat and Protein In

You can enter the fat and protein data as a weight or a percentage of the milk weight. Select either "Lbs/kg" or "%".

Barn Name/Number

Select a barn name or number from the list.

Milk Wt

Enter the total milk weight in pounds or kilograms. If the test date is set up for individual milkings, enter the weight only for the currently selected milking. Otherwise, enter the total milk weights for all milkings for this test date.

 

Note: You can change the weight units between pounds and kilograms in the Options Dialog.

 

Fat (% or Wt)

Enter the fat in either pounds/kilograms or percent.

 

Pro (% or Wt)

Enter the protein in either pounds/kilograms or percent.

 

SCC

Enter the sematic cell count (in thousands).

 

Time

Enter the milking time (in seconds). This field is disabled unless the test date is set up for individual milkings.

 

Add

Once you have entered all the data for the animal, press the Add button. This will move the data to the list and clear the fields for the next entry. You can also press the Enter key on your keyboard.

 

Delete

To delete an entry, select a row and then press the Delete button.

 

Quick Entry

This button brings up a "Quick Entry" screen in which you can rapidly enter milk data. See Test Day Data Entry dialog..

 

Play Sound...

DairyLive will play a sound when you click on the Add button unless you remove the check mark from this box.
